Service times, directions, and what to expect upon your first visit to the Brazos

We're so glad you're here!

Ok, take a deep breath...we know meeting a faith community for the first time can be intimidating and nerve-racking. What do I do with my kids? How should I dress? Do I need to take a quiz about Jesus to be allowed in the doors? (Ok, we did make that last one up...:-))

We all came through the doors as a guest at one time so we understand. We want to help make your first experience at Brazos Church a great one! We are here to help support you on your faith journey wherever you choose to settle. You have a safe place to ask questions and be a part of a new community of faith in our area that loves God and loves people.

SERVICE TIME, LOCATIONS & DIRECTIONS

Brazos Church meets every week and offers gathering times to choose from two locations in the Richmond/Rosenberg area:

What can I expect?

How long is a BRAZOS CHURCH service?

A typical worship service at Brazos is about 80 minutes long. Services begin with the Brazos Church band leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel comfortable. Then one of our campus pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus. Most services wrap up with a final song or two. You're invited to stick around in the entryway to meet someone new, grab a cup of coffee, see a movie in the theater, or head out whenever you'd like. Our Tuesday night gatherings have a QR Code you can scan for song lyrics and bible study notes.

The last Sunday of the month is "Celebration Sunday" where instead of a normal teaching, we have an extended time of musical worship & celebrating the life events of those in our community, such as birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, healings, etc.)

What's the culture like at Brazos Church?

At the Brazos, we want you to come as you are. Jeans and a T-shirt are totally normal (even our lead pastor sometimes wears a hoodie on stage!), but if you like to dress up more that's awesome, too.

Services are geared toward both the long-time Christian and the first-time guest. When you walk out the doors at the end of a worship service, our hope is that you will have experienced God in a way you maybe never have before. You can read about the anchors that make us "us" by clicking the card below.

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at Brazos Kids, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Brazos Kids program the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in . Brazos Kids is offered at every gathering for kids aged K through Grade 6.

Kids and families are a huge part of the Brazos, and that's why we want to make sure your kids have a blast learning about Jesus every weekend!

After the musical worship portion of our service, your kids will be led to our classroom, experiencing God in an interactive and safe environment.

What about my kids?

"Honestly, I was a little anxious attending Brazos for the first time...a little unsure of what to expect. But as soon as I walked through the front doors it felt like home."
