Who we are
Here's the deal, The Brazos Church cares about one thing more than anything else; serving as a bridge to point people to Jesus Christ. We are a diverse family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same hope, love, and restoration that only God can provide.
What's with the name?
Our faith community gets its name from the nearby Brazos River that winds through our community. It was originally called the Rio de Los Brazos de Dios (translated as "The River of the Arms of God"). We believe that our church is to be 'the arms of God' in our Fort Bend County area, loving and welcoming to everyone; serving and the spiritual and physical needs of our community.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Brazos Church has answered God's call to build bridges; we connect people to Jesus, welcoming them into God's family, teach people how to grow into mature followers of Jesus, and equip people for God's purposes in the Church and the world.
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, our dream is to be a bridge of understanding who God truly is, bringing healing and compassion to our community. We will equip people to pay attention to God working in every sphere of life—neighborhoods, work, the arts, and business—we want Fort Bend County to know Jesus, grow in relationship with Him, and fulfill God's preferred vision for the community.
While our Sunday gatherings are special times for us to worship, give, and serve together, we recognize that God's vision for us is to learn, develop our spiritual gifts, and share life with one another in LifeGroups that meet throughout the week. These smaller groups that meet throughout the area are the best places to get to know God and each other.
